Now that my AC is functional, turning to the last little things on my1988 924S.
On my AC "drama queen" thread, someone provided the bulletin on an R12-to-R134 update. Though I am going to see how well my R12a compromise holds up first, I thought I would get an r12 schrader-to-R134 quick connect adapter, The car came with a low side adapter, so I need a high side adapter, 90 degree as spec'ed in the bulletin. There are two (2) schrader sizes - 1/4 and 3/16. Any idea which we have?
My emergency flashers also don't work. It appears from owner manual and Haynes schematics that the turn signals and flashers use the same relay. As turn signals work fine, does this mean that the flasher switch is bad?
Once I am done with these two things, it's onto rear bearings and CVs, which whine like a little baby. |

you can read about the whole drama here on a different thread, but it was a combo of a bad compressor clutch (you called that -- no problem with the AC "amplifier" black box at all) and a leak at the high side o-ring on the compressor outlet.

Cool. I'm glad you figured it out and it was a simple solution. It is good to have a/c in Texas. _________________ 1988 porsche 924s
