Repainted my Dolomite Gray 931 to Monaco Blue and am finishing putting it back together while waiting for the paint to harden with baited breath.

Drove it !
Literally threw a seat in the car and took it for a short drive.
I needed to straighten the rear jack point so i can fit a wrench to take out the torsion bar so i drove it to a friend's garage.
Sounds great, pulls strong, steering is super light. Breathed life into my soul to drive a 924 again.

EDIT: in 2007 i did my first torsion bar job on my first 924.
Today i completed the second one.
Time flies..

Here is the original thread if anyone is interested:
http://924board.org/viewtopic.php?t=22314&highlight=torsion+bars

And here is the song the guys wrote and sung back then:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-Ph25l7vZk&feature=youtu.be

Its back on its wheels now, lowered the rears quite a bit.
All thats left now is to mount the rear coilovers and adjust the heights properly, adjust the exhaust and get a 4 wheel alignment...then its ready to be driven.

for a split second I thought you had dented the rear quarter panel by the door and I was afraid to read the post. Glad to see I was deceived

Really nice stance

Lifted the rears a bit, replaced the front end bushing with polyurethane ones.
Upgraded the sway bars to 968 spec and bled the brakes properly.
It is absurdly flat on corners. I havent driven it hard yet since it needs a 4 wheel alignment but from the short drive i took it is insanely flat and currently over damped on the rears, its actually bouncing on the tires since there is zero give. I want to adjust the shocks tomorrow.

^^^
The car and color looks great Morghen and you're obviously very happy with it. It's good to see you enjoying a 924 again!

K-Roll931, that Monoco Blue really pops...fantastic color and an improvement over the gray. Just out of curiosity how much paint did you use? Did you clear it after?

Thank you.
Just got it trough a 4 wheel alignment and i'm quite happy with the numbers.
-1 / wheel camber on the fronts
-2 / wheel camber on the rears
However there is something thats strange, at abrupt steering input the rear wants to follow too quickly...turn very quickly...i have to get it in a safe place and try to see what happens when i push it but the initial impression is that it will oversteer very easily.

Finally got to drive my 931 after the repaint two months ago (finally assembled it enough to safely drive). I keep finding places where necessary parts have been removed (corners cut) from decades of who knows what. One of the two window guides when the window is lowered on the passenger side is missing. Why would anyone not replace that?? A week of "oil leak chasing" seems to have significantly reduced, but not eliminated the engine oil leaks I failed to put right in the last year.

In any case, I'm one month away from the Dream Cruise, but it's nearly ready!!
