I realize this is a rather strange question, but with 2 cars(4 speed) both the shifter knobs are loose. How does the shift knob typically to round barrel of the shift lever? _________________ Mike

On the track car I just fastened it on with a round head screw. For some strange reason the shift lever pin and shaft aren't worn badly, maybe because the car sat for 20 years before I got it. I have a '78 with the 4 speed. The cross transmission shift bar fits well, I put it on when the tranny was out for the fuel cell installation. Unfortunately the short shift kit does not fit the 4 speed. _________________ Mike
