Hey guys need some help here. I just bought an entire cars worth of brand new Powerflex bushings from another Board member that sold his project.

He bought them all from Dan who has gone AWOL and isn't returning emails. So I'm not sure what will happen there...

The problem is that these were drop shipped from Powerflex USA and they are not the correct bushings. In fact, I'm not sure they even make the correct bushings although if you look at their website is clearly states that these will fit : 924 and S (all years) 944 (82-85.5)

The following parts are correct fitment for a 924 / 931:

PFF57-308
PFF85-211
PFF85-213
PFF57-209-14

The Following DO NOT fit as advertised on the official Powerflex website :

PFF57-209-23
PFF57-205-23
PFF57-222
PR57-223
PFR57-220

Not sure if either Dan or Powerflex will make good on this F-up but if they see this I hope so...

Quick follow up question for those with the aluminum trailing arms : Are any of these bushings cross compatible with the earlier steel arms ?

I'll try to look up the boxes for my bushings, i got them from Dan as well but no issues, they fitted right up.
I only got the front arms and sway bar.

I had same issue many years ago when I did mine. I bought what was listed for my car. I had to return several bushes that didn't fit and remeasure and reorder individual bushes that matched the dimensions I needed. Thankfully I bought direct and had the luxury of some returns. Looks like you will be ebaying redundant bushes and purchasing more

I did a list of right v wrong bushes on 924OC many years ago but I cannot find it

Just the front options

Diagram no. 5. PFLEX-PFF57-308, Powerflex Front Anti Roll Bar End Link To Wishbone - Porsche 924.

Diagram no. 4. PFLEX-PFF57-205-23, Powerflex Front Anti Roll Bar To End Link 23mm - Porsche 924. These do not work, internal dia OK, external dia is too small and needs to be 35mm. These needed to be returned. However the PFLEX-PFF57-305-23, Powerflex Front Anti Roll Bar Bush 23mm - Porsche 924 will work if one end is chamfered and greased to help being pushed through the drop link hole.

Diagram no. 3. PFLEX-PFF57-305-23, Powerflex Front Anti Roll Bar Bush 23mm - Porsche 924. This does not work, internal dia OK, external dia is too small and needs to be 40mm and its too short in length and need to be 60mm not 40mm. However PFLEX-PFF57-306-23, Powerflex Front Anti Roll Bar Bush 23mm - Porsche 924 will work instead, just needs to be cut down one side to open up over the roll bar

I bought some for their rear of the front control arm several years ago and they didn' t fit as the hole need to all the way thru to fit properly. They told me to drill them out. Have you ever tried to drill rubber? I sent them back and got others. I put their black bushings on the torsion bars and they took quite a bit of fitting as the casting quality of the TB carrier is not very precise, ask any who has tried to fit delrin ones.

Perhaps you should just return them to the person you purchased them from and let them deal with the issue since they are the original purchaser of the product, not you.
Then if you still want Powerflex bushings you will be free to deal with them directly to get the correct pieces on your own since you now have greater insight as to what is required.

Looking quickly at Elephant Racing website, they seem to think those bushes are the same from 76 924 to 95 968.

Speaking of Elephant, they have an awesome monoball piece that goes in place of the trailing arm bushes. Solid bushes don't work great there because the arm doesn't swing in a flat plane. Not a problem for the original rubber, but obviously less than ideal for a hard piece.

I may go that route later when I swap the torsion bars but right now I got a deal on a complete set of the PF bushes so they will get installed.

My main goal is to get it up and running, then I will fine tune the parts I'm not happy with.

Elephant has some friggin awesome stuff...
