The Haynes manual says "adjust the clutch cable to 138mm +-2 from the lever point to the bottom of the adjustment bracket". It then shows a diagram with the 138+-2 to th bottom of the lower adjustment washer. Which should I go for, the bracket or the washer?

I found Gohim's old method. Adjust the freeplay in the clutch lever to 1/4" and it is good to go. I seems to work although the clutch pedal is now higher than the brake pedal.
