Have you tried just cleaning out your AOS and cleaning it's return line path to the oilpan? Are you sure it is draining properly?
Clean it and its lines out with kerosene or something..
I think this is a good AOS.

I tried to dismantle the front of the exhaust system. Unfortunately two nuts are blocked under the wastegate (The rest has been relatively easy to unfold).
I do not want to risk to break them and I'll go to a service to warm them up well before trying to undo them.

This solution seems to be the best for me. Is it enough just to replace the under part and mount the hose there? Keeping the rest original? (upper kjetronic fuel distributor - The Purulator, etc).

I checked today on my car and I do not have that entry (indicated with red in the picture).
1. If I bring the hose from Purulator here - will the air filter remain dry?

Bottom of the air/fuel meter is interchangeable or just tap in a barbed fitting into your existing housing and connect the Purolater. Oil vapour will bypass the air filter.

Even my US S1 lower AFM housing has that port, iirc it goes to the charcoal canister stuff..
Finding a US lower AFM housing might be easier than finding one from a euro?
I don't know if a US lower AFM will fit the euro upper AFM for sure but it is likely..
A lot of them fit a lot of them.. Like the 928, the GTS, and mercedes all have the same mounting pattern iirc.. My upper AFM is a legit GTS AFM by part number..
Another thing..
If you want pretty good standalone AFR control, if you get an entire US head and AFM they have lambda control via differential pressure and you can control them directly with a standard microsquirt and free frankencis firmware.. _________________ 80 Turbo - Slightly Modified |

I have found a sales announcement - US distributor. The price was ok for a kjetronic fuel distributor.

I removed the following parts:
exhaust (rear muffler, first muffler, J pipe, wastegate)
starter
I want to take out the central tube manual transmission G31.01 from the car as it's very rusty.
What would be the next steps to completely take out the central tube manual transmission G31.01 and dismantle the clutch??
At this stage I am now.

Remove the drive shafts
remove the gear selecter mechanism on the gearbox
Remove the drive shaft coupler inside the torque tube and slide it forward
Remove the gearbox
Remove the clutch slave cylinder
Remove the clutch fork
Loosen the screws on the belhousing
I think there is a brace across the tunnel, if so remove it (might only be on later transaxels)
Drop the central tube
It might also be likely that you will have to drop the rear suspension, but I think you should be able to wiggle it out without doing it. |

I read in "removing and installing cluch" that I need "special tool vw 10-222 to suspend engine and hold in position".
It's absolutely necessary? Can the engine stay in correct position without this special tool?

Remove the drive shafts - ok
remove the gear selecter mechanism on the gearbox ?? At first sight there is no access to do so. Maybe if I lower the gearbox I could have access. There are 4 screws between the gearbox and the torque tube. At 2 at the bottom I have easy access. See picture 4. The two above fail to reach at this point.
Remove the drive shaft coupler inside the torque tube and slide it forward - ok
Remove the gearbox - ok
Remove the clutch slave cylinder - ok
Remove the clutch fork - ok
Loosen the screws on the belhousing - ok
I think there is a brace across the tunnel, if so remove it (might only be on later transaxels). I have this brace - I will remove it
Drop the central tube - ok
Where can I find in Europe exhaust system gaskets and sealing rings?

The two top ones must be accessed from the other side. You will need some extensions and a couple of universal joints. It is a royal pain in the but, but with patience it can be done.
I did not use a special tool to keep the engine up as far as I can remember. |

The clutch of hell...
I did not manage to put the clutch case down, even though I dismounted everything that had to be dismantled.
Remove the drive shafts - done
remove the gear selecter mechanism from inside the car - done
dismantled the torque tube from the clutch case and slide backwards with gearbox
Remove the clutch slave cylinder - done
Remove the clutch fork - done
Loosen the screws on the belhousing - done
Although the clutch case is no longer connected, I have not found a place to pull it off.
Now that I have moved the gearbox back about 20 cm, it is possible to remove the gear selecter mechanism on the gearbox and screws between torque tube and gearbox.

- clutch case out (clutch housing)
- clutch pressure plate out
- drive plate out
- flywheel out
- the position 9 059103051D big sealing ring $162.94
Problem: How do I get to the little sealing ring? (position 10B).
