It's still not clear to me if speed 1 and reverse are going badly because of shifting mechanism or something is wrong inside the gearbox (dog leg).

Sometimes works good - sometimes not.

Synchroniser rings are interchangeable?? (to use 3 and 4-th gear from my ex dog-leg gear box - 924 NA 1979??).

My former dog leg gearbox had problems in differential box.

For sportiness I prefer dog leg.
For comfort and motorway - Audi.

To me the Audi box feels more meaty, the G31 has a nice pattern but feels more open space to operate and takes a bit to learn where the gears are.
With new linkage bushings to me it felt pretty good but the Audi box with worn bushings felt just as good.
Most Audi boxes still shift very well today, while most G31 are scrap.
In my eyes the Audi box is much better....so what that it moves? Not relevant to the driving I do...maybe not relevant to the driving you do as well.

As Morghen says, most dogleg boxes go bad. Several sliders and dogteeth are NLA. To get my race box working right, I had to dig through 3 other boxes to get mine working good. I didn't have any shifting problems with the Audi box but I really don't like the location of 5th gear and the sloppiness.

For me starting away from stand still is better at the dog leg box. (924 NA).

10-20 meters were pulling both rear wheels with dog leg.

After I put Audi gearbox maybe 10 cm both rear wheels are working.
After 10 cm only one wheel is pulling. (the back becomes unstable)

It is very true that most dog leg gearboxes have problems. Audi gearboxes are more comfortable and reliable. Shift linkage is simpler.

Let's go ahead with another question.

Ref. to spark plug wires:

They do not seem to have a support which would not allow them to touch the hot engine.

How are the spark plug wires arranged on an original car? Anybody got a picture?

Your wires look too long to start with. Even if they do touch, they would suffer more from abrasion than heat as the head/cam cover should not be more than 100deg at any time.

There are signs of abrasion - More obvious to only one wire.

I'll check if they can be shortened.
Was the original system supported in any way?

At 924 NA I had 2.

The Turbo uses a similar system of brackets like the normaly aspirated versions, the just affix to different cam cover studs.

I had a look, but I don't have a great foto's of the plug leads of my engine, but I hope these help

Thank you Johann.

I took a cable to check if I can shorten it. I think it can be shortened quite easily.

Later I will mount a system of brackets like the normaly aspirated versions.
I think I have a few left somewhere....

no brackets needed if wires are a better length and going direct from dizzy to plug, especially when going under the boost tube. Just a few wire clips to hold the wires in a tidy manner. 3x here. One 4way, 3way and 2way clips used

Very nice! I now have 2 solutions.
Problem solved.
I ordered: Distributor Rotor / distributor cap / ignition lead set / dust cover for distributor / and some bushing for antiroll bar

Ref. to: Bosch Distributor Rotor

I found some very simple. Others are more complicated and expensive.
Which would be more appropriate and why?
Both of the rotors are bosch.

Option on the left has a centrifugal spring and activates a RPM limiter if over rev'ed. The one on the right does not, so up to your right foot to avoid going over 6200rpm. Up to you, but both can be bought for less than €5 ea. I use the one on the right at my risk of max rpm!

IIRC both are in common with many euro cars such as BMW, VW etc.

I can not find the bushing at the end of the stabilizer bar. (23 mm antiroll bar)

Even worse: on one side I have a dimension and on the other side I have another dimension.

23mm / 30 mm - 23 mm / 35 mm.

At first sight the little one is better. It came out very hard just hammered.
the large one came out very easy. The code written on it is for 24 mm (944).
Original spare part push rod 23 mm / 477411057K it's expensive because it inclued the metal part.

Does anyone know a code just for the bush? 23mm / 30 mm or 35 mm?

If I had to choose I would put both 30 mm. But I do not know which is the original side.

If no one knows, we're going to the next ones.

I decided to cut spark plug wires (ignition lead) to size. Even the original size are longer than it should be.

1. There is another hose (vacuum with red in pictures) that I think is too long.
You can confirm that it is too long?
I want to shorten it - not to hang on the engine.

2. Last question: spark plugs. On the car I found Bosch W3DPO. I was told that the spark plugs are too cold.
recommended are BOSCH WR7DS (for max 0,7 boost)
https://www.sparkplug-crossreference.com/convert/BOSCH_PN/WR7DS

I want to buy NGK iridium bpr6eix - crossreference with Bosch.
