You guys see this 924t on Bring a Trailer?
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1980-porsche-924-turbo-10/

I'm in the middle of restoring one. It has the snowflake wheels, but I love the wheels on the BaT car. Anyone know what they are called and were those wheels available from the factory??

gullydeckles - man hole covers - trash can lids - 928 wheels - dish wheels - lots of names

The ones for the 924 are 6.5s and the 928 ones are 7s and 8s iirc.. All 16s
Either fit the 924..

They come up for sale on rennlist from time to time and aren't very expensive..

They are good forged wheels but a lot of people detest their looks though some of us love them..

I have the 924 6.5s and have been wanting to get the wider ones from a 928..

Here - https://www.ebay.com/itm/Set-of-4-OEM-Porsche-928-s-model-manhole-style-wheels-16x7/283200137251?hash=item41f00b2823:g:oCUAAOSwxOVbuz-W:rk:37:pf:0

$450 shipped on ebay for a set of 7s..

Set of staggared 7s and 8s for $600 shipped

Reasonable prices imo

Thanks for the info. Yeah, they don't seem too pricey. I'd go with 6.5s. I like them better than the basket weaves I've got.

If you want to see yours, kindly let me know. I'm skeptical of buying used wheels as it's hard to know if they're bent...

Well...

Do you still want 931 gullydeckles?

I spy the wheels I want down by Detroit so I can make you a deal..
The guy is asking $350 OBO for them and I'll have to drive all the way down there to get them, quite a drive for me, but that is reasonably close to you..

So I could take off my wheels and bring them to you down there in Ann Arbor, deliver them right to you, and then drive over to Detroit (Novi area) to pick up the other set of wheels, all in one trip..

Or maybe you could grab these from him and we could just trade?
Actually they are just north of Novi which is like 30 miles from you..
Either way, whatever..

My wheels are straight but one of them has one decent scratch.. The tires work but are getting old and are low performance tires..

What do you think?
You want them now for the cost of the other wheels @ $350 (or whatever he will take, I'd try hitting him with $200 to start cause I'm a cheap bastard like that) including free delivery?

Need any other 931 parts while I'm at it? I might have some things..
I have turbo parts, brake parts, CIS parts, Lambda parts, 2 fuel pump relays with and without rev limiters, and I might throw in something to sweeten the deal on your end..

I sent you a PM too to hopefully hit you with an email notification..
If you don't see this after a bit maybe Vaughn can text you or something..
