Hello all,

like probably quite a few others, I am in the process of finding and eliminating all causes of water ingress into my car. While I've been dealing with windows fogging up and carpets forever getting soggy, I have at least come across an easy, clean and fast-acting way of drying out the water that has already found its way in. Works especially well for wet carpet.

I use disposable diapers/nappies and lay them out face-down between the soggy parts of carpet and the floor pan. The chemicals in the diapers take up fluids, forming a gel that won't leak, and that almost instantly stops the fogging-up of windows and the unpleasant smells.

I change the diapers as necessary, every other day or so.
Works a treat, thought I'd share.

Eliza

Eliza,
That is a neat trick. I will try on another car my grandson has.
