The while-you're-in-there parade has begun. I'm replacing my water pump (because even though I bought it, I stupidly decided not to do it about 9 months ago when I did the timing belt. Guess what has bad bearings and started leaking?). So I'm looking for a missing hose clamp from the water pump-to-thermostat hose (still haven't found it btw...it seems to have flown away) when I found a broken fan blade from the passenger side radiator fan (I am pretty sure that's the fan that comes on with the AC). So I guess I need a new fan, but I'm not sure what to get? My PET seems to show the fan cowl, but no fans. From looking at the motors, it seems the two fans are not identical. I don't care if the replacement is identical, but I'd like it to be a drop-in to the stock system, that performs as well or better.
Pelican for some reason shows several different pushers and pullers of different sizes and claims they're all compatible, which has to be nonsense... _________________ -----------------------------------------

How about this...does anyone know if the secondary fan (the one that comes on with AC) is equivalent to the single fan for non-AC cars? I THINK they're both single speed, right? As opposed to the dual speed (3-wire) primary fan on the AC cars?
I found what appears to be a 2-wire single-speed fan from a non-AC 924, so I'm wondering if I can swap that in for my AC fan. _________________ -----------------------------------------

Yes, that second fan is single speed.
As far as i remember only the first fan will be turned on at low speed with the engine off if the coolant temp is high enough. _________________ https://www.the924.com |

I should have pulled it out to get ready and looked for part numbers I suppose. If it turns out to be the same as the one the guy is selling, I'll know for sure.
I don't think there are any differences between NA and Turbo here, are there? Just between AC and no AC? _________________ -----------------------------------------

Interesting observation. I pulled the whole dual fan shroud out, and the opening for the primary fan (and presumably the fan itself) is very slightly bigger than the AC fan. Hard to measure the AC fan though...I currently only have one blade! Yikes...) _________________ -----------------------------------------
