I am looking for a rebuildable K26 tubine housing for a 924 Turbo, I will also consider an whole S2 turbo for a core to rebuild as long as the turbine housing is not damaged.

Please post or PM; with a photo and a price.

Thanks,

Andrew

ALL turbine housings are cracked. Happens about 5 minutes after the car drives off the dealer's lot. I have a tub of 15 turbos and each and every one is cracked to some degree. Makes zero difference to the way it spools, they spin so fast. If it is important to you then just have someone weld / peen the cast iron.

Kenodog,

Thanks for the response, I had a similar note on this from CarreraRSR in another thread. I will heed the wise advice and do some minor clean up work then use this housing as is.

I had sent you a PM on one of the manuals you had a thread on.

Thanks again,

Andrew

Don't weld it, it will crack in some other place. Let it be and enjoy it.

Welding is 100% fine. They housings crack because of two things. The sectional thickness is too great and this causes the housing to crack at the 90 corner. (Otherwise known as a stress riser.) If you have it welded / peened then use a Dremel to radius the corners you will last a s**t load longer than the factory new part.

The above reason are why every single housing cracks in EXACTLY the same spot...
