Yes, you will need to remove the front trim, both side trims and the rear. You may be able to get away with leaving the A pillar trims in place.
You will also need to pull the front and rear mounting points for the targa top latches as well as the body seal for the targa top.
To remove the front trim piece start by pulling the sun visors, should be two or three screws per. You will have to rotate them to kind-of wind them out of their holes. You will see once they are loose. Don't pull on them, will most likely tear the trim piece. Then take out the interior light. Should just pup out. From there I believe the side trim pieces come off and the front piece should come down. There may be one or two more screws I'm forgetting about, but they'll be noticeable.
Main rule of thumb is don't try and yank things off. If they don't fall right off there is a screw still in place. Look for it and be careful.
Good luck! _________________ Ian Edgerly

Great. I have bought a new rear piece and recovered it. Nice to know that the front trim piece is held in by the sun visors or something below that.
Many thanks. _________________ Lover of all things Porsche
