I purchased a 924S that has been siting for years. I am trying to get it back on the road. There is a connector located at the firewall behind the valve cover. it goes to a sensor located near the speed and reference sensors. Nothing is plugged into it and I don't know what it is for. Any body know?
I don't know how to attach a photo. |

If it's round, might be for the O2 sensor. _________________ White 87 924S "Ghost"

Thank you for the help. The connector is round. There is another connector next to it that does have something plugged in to it. That may the O2 sensor. When I follow the wire it takes me to the area where the speed and reference sensors are. This sensor looks like a speed sensor and is in a hole next to the speed and reference sensors. You know how the adjusting plate has three holes that could have a sensor in it? This is in the third hole. This is a white 1987 like yours. |

That is the TDC sensor used by the factory when the car is new. I have one on my 1988 924s. It doesn't plug into anything. It was used by the factory once. If you ever have to change your speed/ ref sensors, you can take it off and throw it away. _________________ 1988 porsche 924s

Thank you. That is the best answer I could have gotten. I will remove it. |
