I am going to the track tonight for an open lapping session 2 hours of fun and driving. Cannot wait to get there. It makes the work day go slowly when you are anticipating the fun.
Other than that I need to get under the dash again and look at the dial lights. When the car is on the speedo lights are on, and when I turn the lights on the speedo lights go out!. I think a wire dropped out while I was attempting to get them all to have some night time illumination.
Video (Hopefully) to come later. _________________ Cheers;

I decided to upgrade to LED projector headlights last night. Second only to the headlight relay harness, this is one of the best upgrades per dollar I've done hands down. I'll update with pictures of the beam pattern when I find a spot where I can safely stop in a dark area. Even properly adjusted, they cast the light way further than the stock sealed beams or even the E code halogens I was running before.
Some people may not like the blacked out headlight look, but I think it looks way cleaner than the old silver lenses... not that I normally drive around with my headlights up and off at the same time. _________________ 1980 924 NA, US model

Nice!
How.do you mount them? Self made brackets? Any pictures?
I got a pair of 7" led but I have to find a solution to mount them.

The ones I bought were just plug and play. They're a sealed unit that replaces the original H6204 sealed beam lens. They fit right into the original headlight bracket and plug right in to the stock harness. I didn't have to make anything at all. Total install for both sides and adjustment was a 15 min affair.
Just a side note: If you do go LEDs, don't just buy LED bulbs. Buy the new lens with the projector and the LED as a sealed unit. They're rated at 50,000 hours so you generally won't have to replace them for the life of the car. To put that in perspective, halogen bulbs typically last about 1,000 hours. It's a lot easier to justify $70+ on headlights when you realize you won't be buying $25 bulbs every few years. You definitely want projector lenses though. Retrofitting a standard halogen lens with LEDs will scatter light everywhere and will blind oncoming drivers. With the sealed projector unit, it's literally plug and play. _________________ 1980 924 NA, US model

I think my LED's are the same as yours(looks like it from the picture of your car) but there is nothing on the backside for mounting so the front and the LED itself look totally the same but maybe the housing is different than yours…. _________________ 76 924 (PARTS)

So I found an excellent upholster to install the seat covers onto Olive. Very happy with that and cannot wait to see the finished project. I will be taking them in next Tuesday, they will be done mid-October I'm told.
