Hi, I have a 1978 - 924 non turbo and am installing the tie rod ends and ball joints etc. The passenger side was 16 1/2 turns out and the drivers side was 14 1/2 turns out. BTW, all the parts are original on this car at 40,200 miles, the ball joints were still pressed in and these tie rod ends were toast! Is that normal to be that much different per side?
Thank you.

Look at the PET, the tie rods also thread onto the steering rack and are locked with a jam nut. The thread are also probably 1-1.5thd per mm so it might be longer on one side by up to 3mm. Don't worry about it, there is more adjustment than that in location of the bottom brace that holds the front of the control arms. _________________ Mike
