What we see here in these old VHS images is one of the two (or soon to be) works build 924 Carrera GTS Porsche introduced to the rally world in 1981.
The other one was in the hands of Alméras from france who (apparently?) took part in the development of this light 924 racer
and were the first to rally the GTS after it was homolagated on the 1st of March 1981 (homologation # 672).

Their car wearing #19 showed a strong performance in the 25th Tour de Corse Rallye in Ajaccio at the end of april
but they retired because of an accident. At that time the car stil carried the German liscence plate S-EK 2805.
Later on this car was changed over to French plate numbers reading 4171 SG 34.
In 1982 it was this GTS that attended the Monte Carlo Rally with Barth & Kußmaul in the cabin, the red Boss GTS.
Now where would that GTS be nowadays ?…

To question my own question: Whose basement do you think this would be?
…Look at that time capsule in mint condition.

Mittelmotor copied the above car, assuming it’s the genuine Monte car from ‘82? Seeing as its in Friesingers stash, one would assume it is

I was lucky enough to spend time looking and photographing this car whilst in the UK a few years ago. THE ULTIMATE 924.

Carrera RSR, could it be possible for you to share those pics here or pm a link? I think most interesting are the close ups from engine bay etc. strange photo angles that show how things are made and so on.

Nice videos

Dear Tom D

I did send you a PM last week, but have not had a reply. I know you wrote here a long time ago, but I would very much like to be in touch with you.

So if you still follow this board, please PM me.

well not quite. it's 'Whitehall Capital' and it was crewed by Pro Motion Racing. the car's lead driver was Tom Winters. this was an IMSA GTU racer during the first half of the 80's. the reason I know this is because I worked as a pit crew member and used to help prep it for racing at pro motion's shop in Santa Ana Ca.
