The first time a safety car was used in F1 was in 1973 at the Canadian Grand Prix (Mosport Park, Ontario)... and it was a 914!
(Canada also holds the record for the longest rain delay ever in an F1 race... and I was there!)

I think maybe I wasn't clear, I wasn't at the '73 race... I wasn't even born then!
It was the 2011 race which had the rain delay, something like two hours. I also happened to be in the stand right in front of where, on the very last lap, Vettel slid wide and Button sneaked through to take the win. That was exciting! _________________ '80 924 Turbo |
