For fun, because I had an itch, curious, wanted to change the game. No single reason. I knew it would be divisive on opinion of whether it would look good or not.
Anyhow, it’s not permanent. It can be bolted on and off on a whim. I have 2 bolt on badge panels. One with lamps and one without. _________________ 1980 931 - forged pistons, Piper cam, K27/26 3257 6.10 hybrid turbo, 951 FMIC, custom intake, Mittelmotor dizzy & cam pulley, H&S exhaust, GAZ Gold, Fuch'ed, Quaife

The old design is standard flatback (including 951!) with 6,30mm tip height. The 951S (and RS2) are superbacks and require a diffenent backplate. The tip height is 4,90mm. _________________ Carl Fredrik Torkildsen

Just a slight add here...
US 1980 S1 has the 2664
US 1981-82 S2 has the 2660
I own both and have several extra turbo's from each type
Of course only the 4.10 hot side housing _________________ 1980 931 since 1989

Sent the car off for some paint refreshing
Boot full of parts and lights out for painting the rear
Non scabby NACA duct + non decal'd bonnet. Fresh front bumper free from stone chips
Fresh bum! Had someone use the back bumper to help them slow down
Caged. Reinstalled a few weeks ago.

Holy moly... what a fun car you have built! I totally "get" your desire to drive hard, even at the cost of the car's finish. Keep doing what your doing mate. Great thread. |

Following up my post in Wanted section, looking for a mint Foha lip spoiler
I just think it needs something up front given the black side sill covers and rear spats. Lacks balance that the front lip could offer. Would give the illusion of pulling the front down closer to the road. Yet again it would be a divisive addition. But I think it will work for my car adding a little 'raciness'. It might stop me fitting rally arches in the short term........

My turbo in fine company of a genuine GTS which is the 'sister' car of Dereks Bells, a very well executed restoration Carrera GT in very shiny black and two other turbo's, one being a rare Alpine White over Mexico Beige. Not too shabby 924 Owners Club show stand here in the UK last week.
