So Morghen...how is it that we never saw photos of your red car after your nasty experience. What has happened to the vehicle?

I didn't post any pics...its not a pretty sight and to be honest it pains me to look a the car.
The car is parked at a friend's classic vehicle restoration garage.
I am currently busy with work and life but I did straighten it a bit so that it now rolls.
Plan is to take the engine out in the next 1-2 weeks and reassess the situation with the engine off.

Like asking a grieving parent for photos of the funeral

So...update. The GTS wannabe is dead. Like i said before, it served me to its last moment by protecting me in a violent crash, and trust me when i say it was violent. I am against scrapping cars if can be repaired but in this case its not that the frame is bent, its the cabin that has been skewed out of shape a few inches. Looking at the body deformations i'm shocked that i walked out without a scratch...but hey, its the 924, you expect it to be great and IT IS

Anyway, the nice things now. Thanks to all of you for your thoughts and messages following the event, but most of all thanks to Leigh and Claude (Kenodog and 924-76) who commissioned Pavel Shmeliov to make and send me a printed illustration of my 924 in front of my favorite bridge, the Traian bridge. The bridge i cross every time i drive a 924.
Here is the instagram post of the illustration.

Here is the GTS wannabe in front of the bridge:

And here is me driving over the bridge at night:

On a different note, the weather has turned for the awesome here and i took the 931 out for the first time this year. It now rolls on staggered 16" phone dials, 7x16" ET65 fronts with the mid part out and 7x16" ET23 rears for a deep dish...but i recently, thanks to a generous buddy, bought a pair of 8x16" ET23 that i'm going to use for maximum dish at the rear.
Its still rough and ratty and i like it the way it is
The new hybrid turbo in it sounds sick and pulls 200rpms sooner, so its out of vaccum at 1800RPM
Makes and keeps 0.69bar and pulls strong from just over 3000rpm and keeps on past 6000rpm. Not too fast, just right for the street but still plenty fast, its up to 100mph in a blink of an eye.

It is nice to have some choices... Bus gonna get some suspension love and a new front floor this year. Beetle is new -- a '63 for my wife -- needs a new master cylinder then she'll be driving it this summer.

For now though the 924 is serviceable so I'm gonna drive it back to work from my lunch break today and then around a bit afterward. It's a beautiful day so why not! Coming soon though; suspension refresh and then who knows.

Yes, all gone, now selling wheels and left over parts from the red one and stuff i collected over the years.
Going to try to move on...the 924 defined a big part of my life for many years.
Decided i had all the fun i could have with the 924s and cashed in to move to the next adventure.

I still have one 924 dream so i may be back one day with a 924 NA.

Do it, i really enjoy to drive my friends modded 76 na, the early ones especially are so light, and with upgraded suspension, sport seats, 5speed etc its super fun to drive, slower than my car of course, but in auto x and street its almost as much fun, but much simpler and easier to maintain. It just need a cam+light head port to be perfect.
