Barring any unforseen happenings I will be off to Goodwood FOS this year. Just looking for do's and don'ts of the event, what's to miss and not be missed. Any ideas for accomodation would also be greatly appreciated from those that have been.

Accommodation - book early and as close as possible to the event, certainly no further than Chichester. Traffic is a nightmare morning and evening. Most will already be booked up. Its mostly an affluent area, so most accommodation is good whether hotel or via AirBnB. Price is an indicator of quality.
Do use a taxi so you can enjoy the eateries and alcohol, plus they will drop you off at the entrance versus a few hundred metres away in the huge car parks
Do book for at least 2 days to get the most of the event, its huge and lots going on.
Do position yourself at several points on the hill for morning and afternoon seasons
Do position yourself in the pits to watch engine start ups etc. prior to runs. Watching the engineers prepare cars and famous drivers get in and out is cool.
Do position yourself at the top of the hill at some point to see the drivers hanging out after their runs
Do take lots of cash for extras whether food, drink or stalls
Not a lot to miss/avoid. Its all good!
Soooo much can missed if your not prepared to spend 2-3 days there and walk every inch of the estate. Its petrolhead heaven!!! _________________ 1980 931 - forged pistons, Piper cam, K27/26 3257 6.10 hybrid turbo, 951 FMIC, custom intake, Mittelmotor dizzy & cam pulley, H&S exhaust, GAZ Gold, Fuch'ed, Quaife
