So I have removed all the top screws the three back ones ,the single one at the tip that joins to the badge panel and the majority of the wing is free and loose however the small flange that runs along the side of the headlight to the tip is proving reluctant.

any tips or advice appreciated

Gaz

hard to type, arm in sling. Looked at mine that has fender off. A strip of adhesive. I'd warm it up then try to got a utility knife or such thru it, pry gently. Adhesive about 3mm thick. Don't remember a real problem with it.

luck

Old guitar strings are great for glues, that is how windshields get cut out also. make sure to wrap on a block of wood.

Just an update got the wing removed today it was nothibg other than the heavy underseal on the arch side of the wing holding it, gave it a few runs through with a stanley knife and it fell off so all good.

wing has a few issues though its been patched previously at the bottom and the front flange is also gone not sure whether to replace the wing or get the body shop to sort it out. would have liked to keep it original. also few bits of surface rust to sort out nothing major.
