I'm starting to look for tire to put on my modified 924 turbo this summer.
I need a summer performance tire for street use and few track events.
I spotted those three so far, anyone have experience with them?
-Dunlop Direzza DZ102
-Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R
-Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position
Suggestion? Recommendation?

I would definitely buy 2 sets instead, one r compound set purely for track and a less noisy/less tramlining tyre for the street.

I understand that would be the best approach and I would if I was planing a lot of track days, but I'm only looking at maybe 2 short event this year.
Maybe I will get a track dedicated set in a year or 2, but for now I need something for the street that can handle the track.

Of course track ambition is a factor, at my speed most street tyres in sensible sizes melt down and gets all sloppy, which ain't no fun at all, therefore r comps or very near is the solution. Ad08R seems to have quite a following, maybe to focused? What size?

I've ran Yokohama A048's, Dunlop ZZR's and no Toyo R888R's for the last 4-5yrs on road and track. As long as you know the positives as well as the limitations on road and track, there is no reason one set can't be used full time.
As I am not driving at 10/tenths on road or track they are probably a little wasted on me and the car. I also couldn't tell you which were best or worse as I haven't kept a track of the mileage covered nor timed the laps.

On what rims? On stock arches? Those tyre sizes where fitted to my Fuchs when I bought them and did not fit without rubbing
R tyres tend to measure 10mm wider than sized so a 195 = 205mm wide
I'm running 195 50 16 on 7'' Fuchs all round and they poke out far enough for suspension and arch modifications to fit. Lots of neg camber + rear arch rolling and pushing out to get the wheel/tyre to fit under with 20mm spacer. Just rolling to get 10mm spacer.

I just think the noise is just so awful when you run r comps on the street, and the tramlining, and the rocks they throw up on the car, stiff ride etc. But for short journeys on twisty roads they work great

Is the photo showing 6 front and 7 rear? I think the CGT/S looks best on 8'' front and 9'' rear

No, 7 & 8. The dish is different on the 951 wheels vs the 911 wheels.

I have been using Dunlop Direzza on the '76 924 a really good tire. But after some research I think my next performance tire is going to be the Firestone Indy's. You can do a good comparison on the Tire Rack website.
From what I have seen the new Firestones are not only a good price but also a good performance tire all around.
