I get melancholy every time Steve's orange beast rotates through as the picture of the day. It seems like yesterday, when I was eagerly reading details of the build and looking forward to new developments. Ahhh, the good old days, before this well planned and executed beauty ended up in pieces...

I raise a glass to your memory, as most 924's can only dream of reaching your heights. R.I.P. you mighty steed.

Cheers, Brian

Cheers!
I have seen and heard the thing run with my own eyes about a year or was it two before it got broken down.

That’s beast’s exhaust sounds excellent on my car

The cars parts still exist in some excellent builds here in the UK

Glad to hear the car was an organ donor, at least.

Never did get to find out why the car was parted out......was the body that buggered? I know Bass was in the process of building up another car....does that new shell now exist?

I think all the guts got transferred to another shell, the orange shell was parted as far as I remember.

I dug Steve up last year or a couple of years ago, gave him a surprise phone call. He left on a job offer and never looked back.

Steve left the UK. Family parted out the car. The new shell is now work in progress to become a full on GTP build in Hugo Boss livery. Its on its wheels with engine in place but not a runner yet.

The old orange shell still exists and is owned by the same guy building the above GTP. It lives with the ex Friesinger grey Carrera GTS and a CGT. So in good company.

Some engine parts are with Wes who is work in progress with his 931 Godzilla build.

So, in all not a total loss.
