Well, after all I've done to get this 924S running, it seems I have a leaking head gasket..in a perfect world I would replace it, but it's not feasible at this time. I don't have coolant in my oil or oil in my coolant and it isn't overheating nor is there any gas bubbling in my coolant reservoir. I've pulled plugs and #1 are definitely "steam cleaned". My question is, would there be a head gasket sealant that might possibly work? Any input would be appreciated. I am going to run cylinder compression and coolant system pressure tests this weekend |

Not a head gasket, fortunately. There are some theories being bandied about. Water in gas tank is the prevailing one |

If your only conditions are white plugs, perhaps you could suspect your injectors or fuel distributor. Water would be equally distributed (pun intended). _________________ 1979 924 NA race car

Seems to be sorted out. There's a very small amount of smoke from the tailpipe but nothing like before. I still plan on sending the injectors to Witchhunter performance this winter. With any luck I can also work on other things I had planned for the "offseason" |
