Hey friends,
Just a neat tip of info I found out. The 1990s Ford Ranger 2.3L uses the same basic clutch disc as the 931. can be had for $30 to $50 from rockauto or ebay. Clutch size is US 8 7/8" 1" spline with 23T. Metric 225MM 25MM spline with 23T. the 931 uses the same throw out bearing as the 944 NA. I hope this helps someone out. |

Makes sense; we used possibly the same clutch to fit the torque tube and gearbox from the 944 into the 924 NA to give an inexpensive 5-speed upgrade, when the proper 924 gearbox wasn't available... _________________ Vaughan Scott

Most certainly, It is pretty neat what other parts are interchangeable. like the Mazda RX8 Clutch disc can be used for the 944 Turbo. and the Mitsubishi 3.0l Eclipse solid disc (still undergoing research) should be able to be used in the 944NA. |
