Other than CarreraRSR has anyone else bought this little unit ? Just owndering if it would be worth the big bucks to put into Olive's new motor ? Realistically what kind of HP gains can you get with it on a relatively stock motor ?

Several turbos and CGT’s running them in the UK and wider. Mittelmotors option is pricey considering the electronics inside. But the do s nice job making the electronics fit a stock dizzy body so it looks proper oem.

Only issue I have heard of is someone who bought theirs from 123ignition direct. After some time trying to make it work, 123ignition said it will not work for a 924 turbo!! No idea why not given mittelmotors version works?

However, I’m sure raceboy may be able to come up with an alternative solution y

Not sure the cars that have added it were looking for bhp gains. They were swapping out dead crank sensors on S2’s. And CGTS on the most part. Michael at mittelmotor will tell you what, if any gains can be had. Smoother running is the most noticeable feature for me. Before you turn up the boost!!

I had just assumed you would reap some bhp benefits seeing as the factory set up is not exactly 'tunable' by today's standards. Can you not optimize the fairly conservative ignition curve to see some extra juice ?

You can. But it’s timing and advance/retard optimisation is best exploited with IC and more boost. On stock boost I only noted smoother running and crisper throttle response.

Interesting subject, does this setup eliminate the DITC and NLA Flywheel sensor? And if so, how does it compensate for boost?

I am seeing all kinds of possibilities combined with FrankenCIS

I wish it had temp input as the ditc, is there any detailed technical specs on it anywhere?

The laptop software outputs a temperature, so something in the dizzy is taking a stab at temps. Not sure if it’s heat soak or vacuum line air temp. Mine shows circa 30-40deg. Too low for head temps and too high for intake air temp.

In that case it is possible to unsolder the NTC thermistor in the dizzy and connect proper air temp sensor in the intake.

I send my original dizzy to 123.
They convert it.

I just modified a bit the curve, but Notting special.
Runs perfect.
