Was a 2 day battle with one of the torsion bar carrier mounting bolts, but finally the rear suspension assembly is out, and the torque tube as well. Making progress!

944 rear end is the way to go, a turbo would be better but use the 944 ring for better ratio, then if you get an LSD unit it has a cooler on it. Thats what I did, good engine choice LOL _________________ 924 zero cylinder race car, |

the rover and hte porsche used the same spline drive so thats no help, the PO probably just slapped it in there, if you have the RV8 bellhousing welded to a plate then you can use a 3.0 AP capri clutch. If you have a modified 944 bellhousing then then a hydraulic center bearing and a race clutch is the way to go. the 924 drive shafts snap like twigs, I left a few at avon park, snapped 2 944 ones but I would rather they broke than my diff. _________________ 924 zero cylinder race car, |

Dam it...just lost the post I spent ages writing!
It's been a while but I do still have the car and have been tinkering away at it, all be it much slower than planned due to personal circumstances.
Highlights
Acquired a replacement 944 transaxle and torque tube. Cant go in until I get the new clutch pieces needed.
Re-routed brake lines, as they had been horribly laid out, and frankly dangerous
Made a new lower radiator mount and air dams. Rad is now solidly supported and air should flow through it rather than around it
Adding cooling ducts for the front brakes, converted the fog light recesses in to air intakes and made some brackets for the ducting
And a bunch of other bits and pieces
Anyway here are some pics...
