If you want to save time and effort in the engine control department, I can offer VEMS Plug and Play engine management for your 924 S. Plugs right into factory DME connector and works on the stock sensors (also has onboard WBO2, sensor is included in the kit).
Has German TÜV certificate too.

You should most definitely have a small webshop! Use a site like Word Press. Even if it's for 3 items
Edit: Nevermind, you do have one. _________________ 924 - Race car project in the works.

I hear ya mate, that's why i want to have a go a creating my own kit. i reckon i could do it for around £1500 if i can get the parts, which all being well could provide 60+bhp depending on the mount of boost... getting it fitted and mounted would be easy, making it work is where i would struggle so would need the advice and help of others.... but i think it could potentially be what i will try in the new year.... get the old girl ready for it over winter then whack the supercharger on for next summer.
Working out how to get it to run will be the hard part, I'm not even 100% sure what i will need for the kit. Will have to do some research! |

this looks interesting, how much would it be delivered? Also will it work with a supercharger, obviously would need it to control the amount of fuel and air etc. and make the charger work efficiently. Does it have this capability? |

Of course it can cope with supercharger. It is a full standalone engine management, you can throw ANY engine mod you like to it.
BTW, I just finished a VEMS PnP kit for 944 n/a that will get Eaton M90, car is built in Iceland.
Here's Rennlist thread of the car: https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-944-951-968-forum/1008626-supercharging-a-1985-944-n-a-positive-feedback-only.html _________________ '83 924 2.6 16v Turbo, 470hp

Jonnyenglish, if you decide on going VEMS you won't find anyone better than Raceboy to deal with. He has years of experience with it.
This applies even more if you have limited stand-alone ECU experience as he can tailor it to your needs and give you advice. _________________ 1979 UK 932 |

This all sounds perfect! so essentially, i build the supercharger system... then this plug and play device goes on and raceboy creates a map to suite it? Will it include all the necessary sensors for the conversion? i.e. fuel air, tempreture sensors etc. also will it require a maf sensor conversion or is the standard 924 S one ok??
It's the electronic side that has my melon twisted. but if its as simple as this then to me it seems a no brainer!!!!
exciting times..... this is what i am planning on using for the conversion.
1x Centrifugal Supercharger (i like the idea of this for its ease and simplicity)
1x VEMS Plug and Play ECU
1x Front mount intercooler + Ducting
1x Dump/recirculating valve + Piping
4x 944 turbo injectors
1x Larger/More efficient radiator
Anything else? |

Thanks
It runs mostly on stock sensors and few more that are needed are included (throttle sensor, wideband and air temp). VEMS has built in MAP sensor.
Just plug it in, install sensors and turn the key. You will need to fine tune the fuel table probaböy but that it very easy to do, just check the tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7fyfhY_FhI&t=1s
And I am available for help also. Check my FB page www.facebook.com/vemsporsche _________________ '83 924 2.6 16v Turbo, 470hp

VEMS Plug and Play kit is 1250 euros shipped to you, includes VEMS ECU w/ Bluetooth, harness adapter (or straight Motronic VEMS, your choice), Bosch LSu4 wideband sensor, air temp sensor+adapter cable to connect tp AFM plug, throttle sensor+6pin->3pin adapter cable and well running tune.
With the kit everything is bolt on except perhaps lambda bung if your car was not equipped with lambda sensor. I can include M18x1.5 threaded bung for it to be welded.
You can order by emailing me peep@vems.ee _________________ '83 924 2.6 16v Turbo, 470hp
