Quick presentation of the 924 2.0 which i share the ownership with a friend.

The goal is to set the car as a "club sport" 924 in order to go to track days with the other guys from http://www.924-944-968-porscheclubfrance.com
we call those car ... "924 cup"

welcome to the club

Ideolla built a good clubsport themed car and his thread is quite complete with list of items and pictures. He can probably hook you up with the items you need.

...is the white Mk1 GTI yours?

Beautiful looking '24. I like that MK1 to the left and the citroen behind your car.

Montlhéry.....I used to go there in the early to mid '60s to watch car and cycle races plus the 1000 Kilometres du Paris. It got me hooked.

Really ? WOW
In the 60's races should took place on part of the bunking and also on the road track. This last one is no more fitable for events (too risky I guess)

Current tracks are :
events take place on the blue track, rad track are just used by journalists and for trainings, I had a training there one year ago, it is a wonderfull track.

Thanks for the track map.
The blue circuit was the most used for race cars and motorcycles. I remember watching Jean Pierre Beltoise race motorcycles there before he got into autos and F-1. The yellow circuit was used mostly for motorcycle sidecar racing as I recall. At the 1000 Kilometres races I got to see the Rodrigues brothers in a Ferrari, Graham Hill and others using the race as a warm up for Le Mans. Porsche was racing their 4 cylinder RSKs, Spyders and 356s before the debut of the 911. They usually won the index of performance but Ferrari would beat Jaguar.
I was back in Paris about 9 years ago and wanted to visit the track but my wife was more interested in the Louvre. Go figure.

Nice to see another 924 on the track! i Have many many track days with my old 924 2.0, was such a fun car, even though it was close to stock. What tyres are you using, R compunds and more negative camber up front really transform the cars performance!

My friend have ze914 as street tyres on his 924 76 (a bit track modified, he has R888 and MPSC as track tyres.), ive tried that car in autocross with those 914 tyres and they are WAY worse than a more focused track tyre, cant even compare. The 914s are fun and slides alot but grip is low, they are cant take alot of temperature and sidewalls are very sloppy. When you worn those out maybe try a track tyre and you will love your car even more
