Okay guys. This little booger is becoming more than I can handle. I'm posting almost every day with problems. I got my car running perfect and I get in.. and guess what! IT WON'T GO INTO GEAR! It will go into gear like most cars do when I cut it off without pressing the clutch. When I cut it on and press the clutch it won't go into gear. How difficult is a clutch change on 924's? Or maybe it's something small that I can do myself. I definitely don't feel comfortable doing a clutch. Thanks for anything.

Well. I just tried to put it in reverse and it screeched so I'm thinking it is the clutch.

I don't think it's the clutch. I'm not sure what year your car is (cable operated or hydraulic). Your clutch is not disengaging enough for the gears to mesh. If it is cable operated it is out of adjustment. If it is hydraulic the clutch master or slave cylinder may have failed.

It's an 82 924. I was looking at when it catches earlier and it catches about half way down to the floor. I will figure out how to adjust it tomorrow.

Clutch may be 'frozen' in place with rust. Trying to start the car in gear with the clutch all the way to floor and brake on may loosen the disc
