It's nice with these high quality materials, you rarely see nice fabric in any modern car nowadays. It's either leather or pretty dull materials. _________________ 1980 924 Turbo

They are so impressive to look at live...that material is fantastic...changes shades and reflects in a fantastic way...cant take my eyes off them.
Sorry for bragging guys, I cant help it...and I haven't sat in them yet..dont know if I should
These are now brand new GT seats, refurbished with original GT materials from the NOS stock.

I have always wanted sports seats and got some. I have really wanted CGT fabric. I now really want to recover my seats soooo much!
Would liven up the all black interior whilst complimenting the exterior.

Looks good Morghen!
Does any of you know if these seats was an option code for any other 924/944 than the 924 GT?
I have recently found an early 944 with same front seats as Morghen's and matching rear seats and door cards... a little faded but looks to be in good shape.
I have made a deal with the guy to buy the seats from him when the 944 will be parted out in about 2 weeks. So I am curious if it could be original 924 GT seats or "just" an option code for the 944? _________________ 76 924 (PARTS)

It was not an option. This material is exclusive for the 924 GT as far as I know.
Can you get more information about that 944 though?
And i'd like to buy the rear seats and door cards if they match what I need. _________________ https://www.the924.com |

I will see how they looks IRL, I have only seen the car on pictures.
The guy bought the 944 for parts for his 924(5 lug swap) and engine + drivetrain.
The reason why I haven't seen it yet is because the owner got in an accident with a V-belt and a few of his fingers... so not much info to get before he is fresh again...
But no doubt, it is the same fabric on the pictures, so either someone got them reupholstered or it is an original GT interior... _________________ 76 924 (PARTS)

Surely reupholstered, but I'm still interested in the rear seats and door cars if they are close enough. _________________ https://www.the924.com |

They aren't perfect and they need to seat a bit after getting some use...but they are pretty damn beautiful.

May I ask how many meters of the pinstripe fabric were used to cover these? I am getting ready to order some dark red w/ white pinstripe fabric for my 944 from VETERANENTEILE Steufmehl in Germany and I'd like to make sure I'm getting enough. Thank you! _________________ '95 BMW 318i/5 ..."Pearl"

I cant remember right now, I think 2 or 3 meters is enough for the front seats.
With 4 meters its possible to do the rear seats and door cars as well.
I will look for my invoice and write back.
I started Saturday but didn't finish and Sunday took a break...but today I finished replacing the gearbox on my 931.
Bought a G31 blind from the internets and had it delivered.
To my surprise it shifts great into all the gears...better than my old gearbox which wasn't bad either.
I also replaced the linkage bushings with polyurethane new ones.
Strangely it had polyurethane bushings on but one of them was cracked if you can believe it...I didn't expect poly bushings to fail.
I also replaced the AC relay and now I have a very powerful fan active.
Will go to fill the system with refrigerant in the next couple of days.
Quite happy with the 931, drives great, rattle free, everything works.
Actually I do have to look into refreshing the starter as sometimes the solenoid fails to engage...is there any place to buy replacement solenoids for these cars? _________________ https://www.the924.com |

Thank you, and of course your seats do look great!
Aside from the center part of the seat bottoms mine are in very good shape. However I want to have enough left over in case further repairs will ever be needed as I have not been able to find it at all here in the States. _________________ '95 BMW 318i/5 ..."Pearl"

3 meters will be enough for front and rear seats.
2 meters will be enough for front seats, you should buy 3 meters if you only want to recover the front seats and keep some material for later repairs.
