I thought I would start a little thread about chemicals. Recently I told a friend about this stuff I use to deter and stop corrosion. It is difficult to find but if you are so inclined to do a bit of searching I highly recommend it. It is actually a Canadian product from the Lear Corporation and we use it on aircraft to stop corrosion, especially in sea planes. There is ACF-50 liquid to spray on and the grease for sealing out moisture. It isn't the best grease for heavy duty applications but it is fantastic for smearing on contacts so they never corrode. Personally I use the liquid ACF-50 in a syringe to squirt all of those hard to reach nuts and bolts before removal. Works like a charm every time. It is also dielectric so you can spray it on fuse boxes and circuit boards to seal out and help neutralize corrosion there. The avionics guys use it to coat the back the control panels on helicopters here, it's that good.
