Hey guys. Im doing a rebuild on my 931 following a blown head gasket and what i believe are worn rings.
When i dropped the block, pistons and rods off at the machinists today he asked which way the rods and pistons go.
In my haste to strip the block down i did not take note of these things.
Is there anybody here that can tell me which way these go so i can pass it on.

I believe the oil squirter hole on the rod goes toward the back. There are also some protrusions(Haynes calls it a pip) on the rods near the bolt and the should be oriented toward the front. There should also be directional arrows on top of the pistons. _________________ Mike

Thanks for the reply. I know the haynes manual refers to the NA model but im guessing the turbo should be similar. |
