Short article, but some nice detail pics.

Yeah, those are the GTSs, not the run-of-the mill GT like mine!

I'm thinking about trying to duplicate the method used for the GTS's upper airbox housing on my 931, but haven't been able to find a good look at the underside of the GTS top airbox housing to figure out what sealing method it used to seal the the top of the AFM..

I see that it is attached by 2 bolts through the top of the housing that thread into the steel strap on the top of the AFM that has the rubber overtravel protector thingie on it, but does it use some rubber in there to make a good seal? Or is the underside of the airbox made into a sort of taper fit with a rubber or what?

Is their a PET style diagram for the GTS intake anywhere out there so I could look into its design more closely, or pics of its underside exist anywhere?
Need to see the belly of the beast..

See the bolt holes in the steel strap..

Also check out the AFR adjustment screw mechanism on this GTS, it gives you an intermediate sealed wrench on a spring and keeps the air seal, as far as I know it's like an $80 option for the merc, mine has one just like it.. You could probably install one on others too..

Bolts through the top..

Actually, looking at them, I think my upper AFM housing is the exact same as the GTS, which means you could stick a CIS-E head right on a GTS easy and gain computer control of the differential chamber pressure blah blah blah same fuel line connection style too..

But anyway, about that airbox..
Anyone know of more detail on the GTS upper air filter housing?
Would you do it a different way?
Dealing with very little hood clearance.. 2" maybe from the top of the AFM opening..

YES! Their is this pic..

http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?t=38562

So it does indeed seem to be a taper, but I imagine some sort of rubber goes in there too no?
Do you use the same size filter element itself in the GTS or is it different/bigger?
I would be pretty interested in more pics of that airbox build and about how it was done..

Hi, at some time of my 'racing' experience I decided to purchase 944 GTR headlights in order to make my car lighter. It wasn't an easy task to pick right ones... During this time I've read a lot about 924 racing history. Inspired by 924 GTP LeMans I ended up with my own version of headlights.

You can find the result of my experiment at http://gtpheadlights.com

Sorry for the off topic.
