Hey Guys,

I finally have some time to spend on my 'project'.

Just need to get the front end sorted & i should be finished....(famous last words).

Does any one know where i can get hold of some front springs for my 1978 924 Non turbo ?

I have ordered new shocker inserts, however i am having trouble sourcing the springs.

As you can see from the photo the previous owner installed something a little non standard!!

Annoying thing is my donor car had them.....but its long gone!!!

Never mind,

I have ordered some new aftermarket springs from the UK, including postage still cheaper than 38 year old used ones

Cheers

I know you are sorted now but for future bits I can recommend Pelican Parts shipping is reasonable for heavy parts as well
Cheers

Hi Craig,

Thanks for the reply, over the 8-years this project has been going I have ordered many items from 'pelican parts' & they have been great. I have noticed that in the past 3 to 4 years that postage to Australia from the US has got to the point where its just too expensive.

Eg: the front springs i have been chasing from 'Pelican Parts' are $49.99 each ($65 Aus), that seems reasonable, however postage options to Australia are:
$149 UPPS ($194 Aus)
$192 Air Mail ($250 Aus)
$271 UPS Air ($353 Aus)

I ended up buying the springs from the UK for same price as Pelican Parts however the postage was only $70 Aus.

What are your projects you've got going on??

cheers,
Santo
