As those who've followed my posts on lowering the 924 know, I've slammed the car to gain aero benefit. In that process I relied on the assumption and accepted as fact, that the tops of the front and rear wheel well arches were the same distance from the ground when the car was level.

With that assumption (regrettably) I didn't also measure the height from four hard suspension mounting locations. I also read that the interior surface of the 924's rocker panel (with the door open) is parellel to the car's stance.

Here is the conumdrum:

Presently the distance measured from the top of the front wheel well arch is about 1.5" higher than same measurement taken at the the rear wheel arch. But a bubble level placed on the rocker panel upper surface (door open) says the car is now level. So which is correct?

Assignment: If any of you would, please measure the height of your front and rear wheel wells and then use a level on your rocker panel, and report back on your findings. That will solve my simple minded confusion.

P.S. The distance measured from the ground to the rocker panel pinch welds is essentially the same front and rear confirming the bubble level.

Front fender opening definitely taller than the rear.

You're good, then... ignore the fender opening, it's a useless measure (and easily distorted)...

+1 focus on the spirit level placed on the sills. You should aim for a slight front rake or level. Use bolt heads or chassis spots under the car to ensure front rear diagonal measurements. Not the fenders. Ideally a four wheel Hunter laser geo with ride height or corner weight session should be employed for proper chassis set up.
