Can anyone give me some pointers for testing the rev counter which is not working in my car .Does it take a signal from the coil (Green Wire?) which I suppose the only check is a continuity check ?. I have yet to remove the iinstruments yet so don't know the condition of the connections.
any help appreciated

Yes, the green wire is the signal from the DME, and the black wire is the power. The power comes from the DME relay. There is a brown wire on the chassis of the tach and if it is not plugged in then the tach will not work.
I hope that helps! _________________ '84 944 -White, Brown interior
