The 931 has this auxiliary air regulator:
Bosch part number: 0280140220
Porsche Part number: 931 606 102 00
The Normally aspirated 924 has this auxiliary air regulator:
Bosch part number: 0280140169
Porsche part number: 047 133 453 A
Can anyone tell me what the difference between these valves are since the NA version is way cheaper than the 931 version. Are they interchangeable?

The turbo unit is much larger, has larger orifices, and is not adjustable in the manner that the NA is. Knowing Porsche there would have been a good reason for it. As far as I know the 931 and 930 share the same valve, so Rasta Monsta, I think you might be correct in that it is very likely that they are beefier to deal with the added pressure in the inlet circuit. |
