I replaced the timing belt on my car (engine is from an 87 924s) about 5k miles ago. I just put the balance shaft belt back on, and noticed that the timing belt moves in and out on the pulleys when it is running. About 1.5-2mm in and out, so not a lot but noticeable.

Is this normal, or is there an alignment issue with the pulleys?

I used a mix of parts from the original engine and the 924s engine due to the 944 crank pulley being bent and the power-steering bracket on the 924s engine was damaged. I don't see any run-out in any of the pulleys or waterpump.
