Second stop on the retirement DE tour, HPR out on the Front Range of Colorado. Nice track, technical, elevation changes, and hot weather. PCA Rocky Mountain Region did a great job. Cold bottled water for the 95 degree heat, and many Colorado breweries represented Saturday night for the BBQ. Had an instructor for the six sessions, brake pads were done by then. But, the heat was enough that finding pads for the last two sessions wasn't worth it. The new '44 was fun once again, but engine ran in the 215-220 range after 20 minutes.

Arriving a couple days early, camp setup. (And no, I didn't park the car on the gravel with hot tires~!)

Not many trees in the area!

Took a long time to get used to the track. Found out I really had a lot of bad driving habits. But, the instructors were a great help.

Dave, not many tracks have a kitchen, lounge, bathroom, queen size bed, fridge, A/C, stereo, TV, etc at any price. The longer you stay, the cheaper the daily rate. Enjoy!

Yeah, the track-shack is nice. Better than being outdoors in the hot sun all day~!

Well, we've been back a week. First day, well pump goes out, A/C freezes up, and it's summer! 90+ degrees since day one, both items fixed this past Monday. Took the 80's super-car out for a wash and a 100 mile run. Had to get six months of garage dust off of it! Checked for glove compartment lint (used to have a 911, so I know~!). A gratuitous pic or two.
