Hi all, I seek the part number for the top bearing enclosed within the ignition assembly/top steering shaft bearing on a NA '80 924.
It is part number 91134777102? Located in this pic ...
Or is there a generic bearing shop replacement? Seems this part number fits other Porsche and VW ... _________________ '81 Porsche 924 NA

Got one of these, and after some grinding of the ignition lock casting, it seems it will work just fine. A small victory for today ... 999886776356 to go. _________________ '81 Porsche 924 NA

Bit late now but posting for reference as looking into the same thing ATM.
That bearing housing is the later style with 3 mounts for the stalk switches. Earlier ones have 4 lugs with 4 holes, that take different (VW) switches. The early ones also have a machined grove for a circlip, although not visible in the picture, later ones may also. IDK?
The bearing in question is available generically, without any P tax, although it may be difficult to source, particularly down under.
Designation: F-43188
Type: Angular contact ball bearings. Single row, double thrust. Complete. (24X40X8).

Good to know. I paid P-tax, but it wasn't all that bad ... _________________ '81 Porsche 924 NA
