I just discovered the above piece was used on the early 951, and not surprisingly has a silicone replacement at Lindsey Racing.

Bonus? It is cheaper than the list cost from Porsche of the OE piece.

Stock elbow from most silicone suppliers. Ususally need to trim the ends to suit use.

Nice,
But the one I would like is #93111018501, rubber elbow that connect to turbo re-circulating valve.
Anyone found a source for new one?

There is nothing special about it. Use any of the OEM rubber elbows on the top of the engine, almost the exact same thing. Or use a silicone elbow from any performance supplier which will last far longer than a rubber option.

If I remember correctly, that one has 2 different opening sizes, one end being larger than the other.
Anyone can confirm that?

One of the first things I did to my 931 was change all the OEM elbows to Samco silicone.
They were still fine 10 years later when I pulled everything apart, including the elbow for the recirculating valve.

I always wondered why there was such a big fuss over essentially generic hoses?

This does seem to be a running theme with the 931 though. There are always alternatives to OEM NLA parts if you look or think hard enough.

Where there's a will there's a way...

Here is the complete list of elbows for the 931.

QTY 1: 931 110 181 01; 14mm; vac limiter to upper pipe (illustration 107-25, #33)
QTY 1: 931 110 185 01; 14mm; BOV to BOV hard pipe (illustration 107-30, #25)
QTY 1: 931 110 181 00; 14mm; breather port on head to hard pipe (illustration 103-00, #31)
QTY 1: 931 110 172 03; 18mm; AAV to vac limiter (illustration 107-25, #36)
QTY 2: 931 110 183 01; 18mm; AAV to upper pipe, upper pipe to intake (illustration 107-25, #34)
QTY 1: 931 110 183 01; 18mm; upper charge tube to AAV pipe (not shown on illustration 107-25, but listed as callout #32A for S2 only)

In addition, there are some straight sections to replace:
QTY 1: 999 239 007 40; 14mm; intake to BOV pipe, 40mm length (illustration 107-30, #26)
QTY 1: N 020 363 1; 14mm; turbo breather pipe to head breather pipe, 40mm length (illustration 104-10, #23)
QTY 1: 931 110 173 01; 18mm; AAV pipe to AAV inlet, 48mm length (illustration 107-25, #32)
QTY 1: 931 110 173 01; 18mm; upper charge tube to AAV pipe (illustration 107-25, #32A for S1 only)

I believe the reason there are so many different part numbers for the OEM elbows is because the "leg" dimensions and the radius dimensions are different for the different part numbers. This is just a guess from looking at old worn-out elbows.

Regarding silicone elbows, I have not been able to find any with a tight enough radius to suit my taste. When the radius is too big, you have to trim the leg in such a way that doesn't leave enough material for proper clamping, or the hose can end up crimping, causing stress fatigue. I discontinued reselling silicone elbows for this reason, but if others have found suppliers with suitably tight radius, I would love to know who carries them. I've struck out with Samco and Vibrant.

If you are looking for a really inexpensive alternative to the OEM 14mm elbows, Dorman part number 46051 is a rubber PCV 90 degree PCV elbow with a 0.58" inlet and outlet (14.732mm). It appears to have a sufficiently tight radius and enough leg that could be trimmed shorter if necessary.

The straight sections should be replaceable with any suitably sized oil-resistant rubber or silicone hose that can be trimmed to fit.

I have not yet found a cheap alternative for the 18mm elbows.

Check out there Lindsey piece. I've found 99% of their silicone to be spot on copies.
