took me several hours to remove the rubber goo from my front fenders.
The goal was to remove weight of course!

Went for a spin for the first time this week-end with the car...
ho my god the rock pingning sound is terrible!
It never crossed my mind that this goo was making such a good job at sound deadening!
I only went around the blck and it was running me crazy!

If you guys know of a mordern product to put back in my fender let me know.

Up here you can buy a rubberized spray like box liner material for trucks in a can. Used it on my old 931 to coat the battery tray. Worked awesome and was really tough stuff once it cured. Go see what PEP boys has...

There is a ton of rubberized undercoating in spray cans.

Awful lot of work. . .I scraped a ton off my race car and the weight didn't change much.

SEM heavy texture chip guard in opaque, is an excellent match to the factory undercoating.

I hope this helps!

I hear rally cars like to glue a really thin layer of neoprene (wetsuit material) to the inside of the guards. Its really light, lighter then the heavy sound deadner and will stop the noise and the guards getting dents from the inside.
