Hello guys,

Is time to change my intank fuel pump of my 81 924 turbo. It has been standing since 2010. Do you guys have any alternative (read cheper than oem) solution ? Any aftermarket with similar specs ?
Does it really need to be intank ?

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Run only the other one or upgrade the inline to a more powerful one ?

You can use a 944 in tank strainer in place of the in tank pump and make sure your external pump is in good shape. I would recommend a new external pump and also make sure you are getting proper voltage to the pump.
