|

Hey Guys,
As the title says, my intake duct is hitting the hood (bonnet as we call it in Aus) when closed. It also clashes with headlight mechanisms.
The filter box is all lined up with the factory brackets & the hood/bonnet is aligned with front panels, however there doesn't seem to be enough room!
The filter box/air intake assembly is from my parts car being a 1980 model and the car is a 1978.
I have noticed the earlier 924's had a slightly different air intake duct where the intake runs down towards the back of the head light & latter run across towards the centre of the car.
Are the latter intakes not compatible with early models cars?
I would have thought they are all the same.

I ended up buying an "early model" intake & after a little fiddling all is good under the hood _________________ 1978 924 RoW 5-Speed (Current Project)

The early intake is a lot smaller than the later, if i put the the later intake on it still hits
I wonder why they changed them for the latter models ? Better air flow maybe?
