i pulled the center counsel part to fix the heater cable (which i didn't even get fixed) but i blew a fuse on the cigarette lighter. i put a new one in and it works, but now i don't have any instrument plane lights. and i don't have my right tail light (which i got a fix it ticket for). think there is anything else out side a fuse that i blew to knock out my lights?

any help would be appreciated

don't think the tail-light is related.

You're going to have to pull the instrument panel and find out which light connector is not connected.

The lights are wired in series (like Christmas-tree lights although I suppose the politically correct now call them holiday-season-tree lights) so if the connector to one pops off or the circuit is broken, they all die.

Blown fuses are the standard response to any work on the centre console wiring.

I would suspect corrosion in the rear light array. Your new best friend, Mr multimeter, will tell you.

thanks peter i didn't know that the lights are wired in series. i'll take it apart today.

i've done the same thing and found an in-wire fuse near the steering shaft that i blew. it's not on the fuse panel and took a little searching to find- putting my head up under there.

it's easy to check before you pull it back apart searching for an unconnected connector (which i've also done).
