Thought I should post some details of my efforts over here in the UK

I've been out Autotesting (Uk version of US Autocross i think) spinning round cones, see photos at the link below

I've also been out on some road rallies, Navigational events on public roads

Got some more work to do to get the car setup well over the winter, before trying some historic rallies next year

Depending on how bad the understeer is; you can stiffen the rear or soften the front.

larger rear sway bar, stiffer rear torsion bars, stiffer rear dampers or more rear air pressure, etc.

You could also try reducing entry speed and powering through the apex. Increased exit speed = increased straightaway speed.

current set up is Std 1981 na with Bilstein B6 shocks and polybushes

most of the rally tests are on gravel and the car tends to push wide as i get on the throttle

next steps are to remove the front ARB and play with tyre perssures
