ok, i feel you

i dont have the original bumper, its a fiberglass copy, made to fit the 944NA front wings.
My FG copy bumper also contains the lower extension....and its not bolted on like the original.
I dont have the aluminium internal carrier as i have intercooler pipes and the blow-off positioned there.

How did you bolted it? Maybe you have any pictures? I also have a replica and don't have internal carrier.

its bolted to the wings, and to the nose pannel/body where the welds that held the original nose pannel were.
Additionally there are two vertical brackets that connect to the bumper on the lower side..just in front of the wheels.
No pics unfortunately.

I'm modifying a 951 fiberglass front, so it fits the original 924 bodywork. I was also wondering how this was supposed to be bolted on to any car, as there are no mounting points.

I have fiberglassed a pair of aluminium blocks with Metric 8 mm thread to the front, close to the original mounting points on the car. One of them can be seen to the left.

And I have fabricated a pair of metal brackets, that will be bolted on to these blocks and the whole front can then be mounted onto the car, in the original holes.

In each wheel arch I will mount it with one or two screws, so it doesn't hang down. I don't have the horizontal flange on the fenders to mount it on.
But since you are going to use 944 fenders, that's not gonna be a problem for you.

Thank you, guys! I'm going to make something similar to the original S2 bracket.

I found that hard to do and a bit useless...on most 951s the front bumpers sit missaligned and tilted.

Good luck and lets see it ready !

Sorry, guys, I was too much busy working on my car than riding it so haven't updated this thread.
As usual some crappy photos and short report.

Adopted some big brakes:

Made some Goodridge brake lines:

Got the car to a local transaxle meeting (first drive in season):

But was too late because of blown coolant pipe:

Drove 1200 kilometers in two days without any issue:

Drove a car for almost three months as a daily driver and parked for winter this week.

Got this:

It's a one of 936 turbochargers and it's huge. Gegge has the same and described it here: http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?p=248453#248453

So I'm in doubt. Does #6 turbine hosing have enough flow? Or do I need to source hotside from GTS (have no idea where to get it)?
Another way is to move turbo to other side of the engine and use hotside from 951S (#8 ), but it's more complicated path.

I use the S1 hotside with a K27 compressor. Pulls like a jet engine up to 6500rpm, i never went over that.

1bar most of the time, thats the minimum boost the system makes

And when it hits fool boost? At what RPM? Do you use any kind of boost controller or just 1bar spring in WG?

Full boost is only reached in 2nd gear or higher, 1st gear only gets me 0.7 bar if i'm not mistaken. I use a 911 1bar WG spring(that only makes 0.9bar in my car) + a Forge T style boost controller. Because the ports of the boost controller are smaller in diameter this acts as a restrictor and i get a minimum of 1bar at all times.

2000-2100RPM it makes 0bar
3500 RPM it makes 0.7bar
3800 RPM it makes about full boost or around full boost but i cant really tell for sure as its right then when i have to hold on to the steering wheel.
What i see is that the range from just under 4000RPM and until whatever i can rev it to is where the serious torque and power are made. Car squats the rear down and speed climbs unconfortably.

If you dont know it, i'm using a K27 / K26 turbo hybrid...its a bit more laggy(heavier compressor wheel) than the factory S2 K26 but it pulls quite hard.
I have no real use for this setup as i cant drive like a maniac over 4000RPM all the time...but overtaking and autobahn driving is sooo easy. To actually drive the car fast on a circuit you have to work hard to keep it reved up and the turbocharger inertia going.

morghen, thanks for your reply. Now I know what to expect with K26-3060, which is pretty similiar to your hybrid K27/K26.
