We both installed turbo on the engine without opening it up and no rebuild.

What kit do you mean? If turbo kit, there is no kit for 924 available. In past, there was a BAE kit but it is very difficult to find, turbo is usually blown and you get maximum of ~160 hp out of it.

Your only way to get a turbo on your 924 is either a) build it yourself, b) have someone make it.

The last option will be expensive because labour usually costs 2/3 of the total cost while 1/3 is parts.

Wow. You give 'em books and they just eat the covers.

SOME CAN TURBO OR SUPERCHARGE A STOCK 924 ENGINE.

If you know what you're doing or are willing to learn and fail as you go.

IT WILL BE COMPLETELY CUSTOM AS THERE IS NO "KIT" AVAILABLE ANYMORE.

Chris, you need to do some reading on how turbochargers work and their concepts before you even think about trying to add one to your car.

Knowing what you're doing with engine management and tuning is key in my opinion.
Good control over fuelling and ignition timing and being able to monitor what's happening is critical, if components are to survive.

Raceboy and DutchPug both know what they're doing with VEMS.
If you look at the other cars Raceboy has installed VEMS to you'll see he's an expert at it (which is why I've asked for his help with my own project).

I agree with fiat22turbo though - read/research as much as possible before you attempt anything, as you need a good understanding first.

Regardless though, what Raceboy and DutchPug have achieved with a turbocharged 924NA is very impressive

haha nice to read the comments. Think the best for Chris is to read up (a lot) before starting a project that could take years to get finished successfully if you don't have the right knowledge or support (and it will cost a bit too).

As said before will keep the 924 engine for a bit. So have started on the next improvement; the intake manifold.

The idea is to print the intake completely in ABS for testing (besides that simply like to see if i can print an entire intake) and then have one milled... since i don't think the ABS will hold up too long. Objectives are; much better top end performance than the stock intake and I don't want to change the throttle body position.

Here the design;

Already printed a couple of runners to do some measurements;

Chris, your priorities are a bit off. Having a kit does not mean you can slap parts on and start driving it at full tilt.

Having someone make the piping for turbo isn't also a big problem, but you need to convert the engine to EFI and then tune it also. And when tuning one mistake with igntiion table can be the end of your engine. No joke.
