Been horrifically busy with 928 Twin Turbo builds this year. I do have the AAN block torn down and tanked. I am deciding if I just want to overbore it to 82mm or Nikasil plate the block back to 81mm and have something a little more unique.
I have the Quaife for the rear end and am acquiring the dogs and syncros I need to go through the G31 box. I will be swapping gears from a 79 NA box to make 3rd and 4th gears longer in the G31 box...then fresh dogs on the first three along with syncro rings.
Dash is in surgery now, getting prepared for leather cover...lots of time into that, luckily the cost isn't too outrageous.
The project is still very much alive, just happening on the slow... |

I've been following that build on the 928. That thing is pretty awesome. |

id love more info on this. ive been pondering doing a 7a na swap into a 924 for about a decade and im very close to doing it into my martini right now. the cost of the 2.0 engine parts are rediculous with very little outcome on the power side of things. and the 5 cylinder is my favorite engine sound ever. _________________ ive saved alot of 924's

Very good work Herr, the AAN is a great engine and you have done a brilliant job! I hope you can finish it. |
